Culture & Press

Cultural Section’s plans cover a wide range of activities such as art exhibitions, traditional music performances, performing arts, film, literature, workshops, interchanges and museum conservation activities. These types of activities provide an excellent opportunity for audiences to observe the current trends in Islamic and Iranian culture, offer insight into new developments of various Iranian art forms and give a reflection of the Iranian society. These activities also provide a unique opportunity for the cultural bodies in both countries to assess the professional dialogue and the degree of common interests that have been established among elites from Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Hungary.

The promotion and presentation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iranian government policy in the Republic of Hungary is the responsibility of this section as well. This section can provide answers to general enquiries about the Islamic Republic of Iran. It stocks a broad range of information about Iran including booklets, videos, brochures and maps. This material is available free of charge but needs a written request. Tourist information is available from the Iran Tourism and Touring Organization (ITTO).
Journalists, reporters and other media representatives, who intend to travel to Iran for purposes relating to their profession, should contact the media section of the Embassy at least two weeks before their planned travel and they have to submit their CV (Resume) along with brief information about their media company or news agency.

If you need more information please contact us or send your requests via e-mail to the Cultural and Media Section at the following address: embiran@nextra.hu
